FIMU’s YAG volunteers, together with the children they coach, organized a sport event for families on April 28th in Vantaa, Finland.

There programme involved fun activities, playfull competition and of course a bouncy castle. The activities were planned by the children themselves, based on what they wished to do for a sport event. The publicity for the event also relied largely on the children who drew up posters and leaflets and distributed them around their school and neighbourhood. Amidst ball games, dancing contest and all the running and jumping, the participants could enjoy some refreshments and cakes, also prepared by the children. The children’s parents were invited to the event to enjoy the activities with their kids but also to hear about the PLAY project and discuss its methods and goals.
